Storage planning & designing · South Africa

Know what is actually on your shelves.

Independent stock takes, stock-loss investigation and shelf design for retailers, wholesalers and warehouses. We count it, we tell you what is missing and what it cost you — and we show you the layout that stops it happening again.

Counters never see your expected figures — which is what makes the variance defensible to an auditor.

What we do

Three things, done properly

Most clients start with a single count. What they stay for is knowing where the losses come from and how to lay the floor out so they stop.

Stock & inventory

  • Stock takeFull or cyclical physical counts, by bay, with double-count control on high-value lines.
  • Stock auditsIndependent verification of what your system says you are holding.
  • Stock statisticsMovement, holding and shrink trends tracked count over count.

Planning & strategy

  • Stock planningForecast what to hold so cash is not sitting dead on a shelf.
  • Stock organisingBin locations, bay codes and receiving discipline that survive staff turnover.
  • Stock-loss investigationWe trace the shrink to a line, a bay and a time window — not just a rand figure.

Design & analysis

  • Shelf designingPlanograms that put margin at eye level and high-shrink lines where they are seen.
  • Floorplan redesigningTraffic flow, receiving and back-of-house laid out to cut walking and loss.
  • TrainingYour own staff taught to run a count that holds up.
  • Profit-to-loss analysisWhat the shrink actually cost you, line by line.
How a count runs

Four steps, one day

The order matters — each step is what makes the next one defensible.

STEP 01

Scope & file

We walk the floor, code the bays and take your expected-stock file. Nothing is counted until the scope is agreed in writing.

STEP 02

Blind count

Counters work bay by bay without sight of your figures. High-value lines are counted twice, by different people.

STEP 03

Variance & recount

Variances surface while we are still on site, so anything that looks wrong gets recounted before we leave — not disputed later.

STEP 04

Report & sign-off

You get the count, the rand value of the variance and a ranked list of what to investigate. Signed off on the day.
